About Me

Currently, I am an Associate Professor and Director of the Prairie View A & M University School of Architecture Center for Community Urban & Rural Enhancement Service (CURES).

It is an honor to be part of the archival and preservation effort of the African Slave Cabins in Louisiana. Our work involves performing 3D laser scans of the remaining eight cabins (originally twenty-four) as a means to accurately reconstruct as-built digital drawing plans, sections and elevations of the original design. Our digital and analog work extends this sacred African Slave space into the realm of permanence and creates for us a valuable and timeless historic memory.

We are grateful to all those who assisted us in completing the excellent work performed by our students, IT staff and faculty and look forward to working with RNIDH in the future.
